Particulars of Organization, Function and duties

1.         Aims and objectives of the Organization : Deals with all Judicial matters under the control of District Magistrate and Collector, Deogarh.

 

2.         Mission/Vision : Maintenance of law and order in the district, Grant/ Renewal/ Suspension/ Cancellation and other matters relating to Arms/Explossive licence, Cinema/Video licence, Court matters, Payment of fee bills and other matters relating to the Law Officers of Deogarh District, Verification of character and antecedents, Processing of Passport application forms, Jail matters including recommendation for premature/parole/furlough release of prisoners and other Judicial matters of the district.

 

3. Brief history and background for its establishment:- Judicial Section of the Collectorate, Deogarh started functioning w.e.f.01.01.1994 when the new district of Deogarh was created  being bifurcated from Sambalpur district vide Revenue and Excise Department , Orissa Notification No.56113 Dt.22.12.1993.

Procedure followed in decision making process

(Section 4(i)(b)(iii))

 

On receipt of a letter or pettion or an application , the Dealing Assistant of the Section put up the letter in the concerned file and in absence of any file , prepares a new file describing the subject matter in detail and submits it to the Head Clerk. The Head Clerk submits the same to the Officer-in-Charge,Judl.,who submits the same to the Addl. Dist. Magistrate after recording his views on the matter. After due observation, the Addl. District Masgistrate disposes the file and if necessary he submits the same to the District Magistrate and Collector for final disposal and orders.
