1.         Aims  and objectives of the  organization:-

             Implementation of various labour Laws for the welfare of labour both in organized & un- organized sector and maintain healthy |Industrial relation to ensure Industrial growth in the district.

2.         Mission /Vision:-

(a)    (a)    To achieve elimination of child labour in hazardous occupations and process.

(b)   (b)   Thrive to provide housing loan to   eligible  Beedi Workers under the revised integrated   housing scheme, 2005

(c)    (c)    Implementation of revised minimum wages.

3.   Brief  history & back ground for its establishment

The office of the District labour .officer, Deogarh came in to existence on 13.12.2004 to meet the growing demands of the Industrial workers, to look-after their welfare as well as the welfare of the beedi workers and the child labours.

6.   Duties to be performed to achieve the  mission:-

 

(a)    (a)    Vigorous Inspections to enforce the child labour (P & R) Act. 1986.

(b)   (b)   To undertake fresh survey to find our child labours in the district with a view to enroll them in 40 child labour special school & mainstream them in the formal school.

(c)    (c)    Enforcement of  Beedi Cigar (C.E) Act. 1966, minimum wages Act. 1948 Inter state migrant workers men (R.E. & C.S.) Act. 1979, Motor transport Act. 1961. and O.S.& C. E Act. 1956. etc.

7.   Details of services rendered :-

      Enquiry   in to complaints received regarding Non- payment of  wages, Minimum wages and termination of services and ensuring  payment to the workers and filing claim cases in case of non- payment, bringing settlement  between the management and workers on disputes arising  out of service conditions. In case of failure, holding conciliation proceedings and referring the cases to Government /Labour courts/Laobour Tribunals for adjudication.

(i)                  (i)                  Canvassing  among the Citizens about the evils of  the Child Labours .

(ii)                (ii)                Migration  of work man to out side the state by un-licensed contractors /Dadan Agent.

(iii)               (iii)               Discussion  with management & union for better union Relations to ensure productivities .
