Background of the Organization: -    Deogarh District was created out of Sambalpur District vide Revenue & Excise Deptt. Notification No.56113 dt.22.12.1993 and functioning as such w.e.f.  01.01.1994.  

Aims & Objectives: -       To provide required number of staffs to District Office as well as to it’s Sub- ordinate offices for smooth management of the office work of the District Administration. To dispose off the cases regarding pension matters with priority. To clear up the personal entitlements of the employees in time as per rules.

01 Collector &District Magistrate, Deogarh Supervision & co-ordination of all the works in the district in connection with establishment matters of Collectorate, Deogarh, such as Recruitment of Class III & IV employees, Transfer and Posting of Ministerial staff/ field staff within the Deogarh District, Holding of Departmental Promotion Committee for giving promotion to Class- III & IV staff ,To initiate Departmental Proceedings against Govt. servant, Sanction of Advance/ withdrawal from General Provident Fund, Issue Distress Certificate in favour of deceased families, To sanction different kind of Leave , i.e Earned Leave, Half Pay Leave, Extra Ordinary Leave, etc., To sanction pension of Govt. employees and transmission of the same to Accountant General, Orissa for issue of P.P.O., Opening and maintenance of the Service Books of the employees, G.I.S. matters and others works as and when entrusted by Competent Authority from time to time.

Procedure followed in decision- making process.

On receipt of a letter the Dealing Assistant put a diary number on it and put the letter on the concern file describing the subject matter in detail and submits it to the Head Clerk. The Head clerk then submit the file to the Officer-in- Charge who will in turn submit it to the Additional District Magistrate. After due observation the Additional District Magistrate submit the file to the Collector & District Magistrate for orders.
