            The A.A.Y. Rice & Annapurna Rice is being supplied through 60 G.Ps. of the District   in three Blocks on Jana Seva Divas i.e. on 15th of every month. B.P.L. Rice/ Wheat/ Sugar & Kerosene is supplied through private retail out lets.

In this District 280 nos. Fair Price Shops are in operation and R.L.C. Committee is functioning.

 

Public Distribution System :

 

            There are seven Storage Agents, one Wholesaler & nine Sub-wholesalers of S.K. Oil duly appointed by Collector Deogarh. The Storage Agents are lifting B.P.L. Sugar/ B.P.L. Rice/ A.A.Y. Rice/ Annapurna Rice/ A.P.L. Wheat from F.C.I. and issuing to the retailer as per distribution made by the Collector and B.D.Os. in their respective areas.

 

            The allotment and lifting position of different commodities showing allotment, lifting & off take position of the district from January 2005 to 30.11.2005 is annexed.

 

Procurement :

 

            The District Level procurement meeting was held on dt.25.10.2005 under the chairmanship of Collector Deogarh. It was decided to open paddy purchase center from dt.15.11.2005. Government has allotted 5,000 M.T. Levy rice to be procured by Miller Agents & 2,000 M.T. by Orissa State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. Deogarh.  P.A.C.S. has allotted 5000 M.T. paddy to be procured from Deogarh District. One Miller of the District M/S-D.S. Rice Mill Tainsar, has been appointed as Miller Agent. The other 4 Millers of Sambalpur District has applied for appointment which is under consideration & after clearance from Sambalpur District Authority their appointment will be decided.

Tour Diaries :

 

            The tour diaries have not been submitted in time to Collector as he has newly joined in the assignment. However, he assured that the same will be submitted to Collector for approval at the earliest. This may be ensured.

 

Implementation of Petroleum Act. :

 

As per the Orissa Petroluum Product (Sale by Dealers) Order 1979 Rules(s) the petrol. Dealers are required to maintain the register which shall be opened for inspection by the Collector or any Officer not below the rank of Supply Inspector. It is ascertained from the office that this register has not been inspected. The Collector should review it at intervals for implementation of Petroleum Act.

 

Besides this the C.S.O. is instructed to take appropriate action for test checking of petroleum or Diesel samples of the Petrol pumps coming under his jurisdiction.
